Default Georgia-Alabama Silver Comet & Chief Ladiga trails

Wow! Silver Comet & Chief Ladiga trails
Just heard about this trial system. Has anyone locally in Georgia or Alabama skated it, reports? Distances: (Georgia side) Silver Comet + 61 miles and (Alabama side) Chief Ladiga +33 miles. Looks incredibly lovely!!!

After just skating 52 miles of the a2a event this weekend, I realize I am very spoiled (by choice, of course) with smooth & flat pavement.

Would love to organize a trip to explore this trail system. If anyone has set up a tour or organized skate of this trial let us know some details/comments.

Default Wow

I just looked this up on google maps and it seems I'm only 2 hrs from the AL start in Anniston, and I'm slightly closer to the GA beginning in Smyrna thanks to I85. Gonna have to grab some skaters and check this out.

I've personally never been there, but from what I have heard is that it is not great for recreational use. The bikes get on there and go top speed, so not ideal for those walkers with the dog leaches that go out 10 feet (sounds like a good deal till someone gets in an accident). I am sure skaters could do just as well there.

Wife and I went there once and stayed at Mount Cheeha I think. I biked the mountains one day and wife did a 60 mile ride on the trails with me the next. Basically saw no one all day. Trail was mostly a straight line of concrete, it was good.
