Default Tear Away Warmup Pants

Hey fellow skaters,

I'm searching for complete tear away warmup pants that have snaps along the inside legs and around the crotch area.
These are meant to facilitate quick removal in the warm-up lane just prior to a speedskating event start. One simply reaches into the crotch and rips away the pants in short order. I've seen these used around some ovals, but haven't been able to locate a manufacturer or supplier.

Any helpful suggestions much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, Leroy.

I'm familiar with Eastbay pants. But like all the others, they only offer warmups with snaps on the "outside" of the legs. I'm looking for tear aways that have snaps on the inside of the legs as well.

Why? If they unsnap on the outside they come all the way off very easily. There'd be no point in having snaps on the inside too. I'd be surprised if they're even made that way.

It would be very easy to go to a local sewing store (Joannes in the Northeast US) and get some velcro. Rip out the seams and sew it in. You could be the first one on your block with designer tear-away pants.

Not too surprised, I hope. I've seen them in action. They can be removed in a second and a half! And when you're called to the line late (as too often happens), every second counts. I've got two pairs of slightly differing outside leg snap warmups and at least two pairs of full zippered ones, and nothing can touch the efficiency of the center-pull tearaways.

Keep searching . . . .
