Default Standard Coaching Rates

Does anyone have an idea on what the going rate for outside coaches is? Not looking at the big names; looking into bringing in some semi-local talent and want to make sure coaches are properly compensated.

I don't know that there is any standard rate for Derby coaches (though there should be some I feel personally)

I would suggest that it depend on a few factors:

1)# of Hours
2)Distance travelled (may or may not have a separate travel stipend)
3)Experience

For instance, if you are only asking a 'speed skating coach' to come in an train your league 1x week for 1 hour, who happens to live locally. Perhaps $100 a month would work.

However, if you were wanting someone to work 2-3 times a week with your league for 2-3 hours at a time, perhaps $100 a week is more appropriate.

If they are more than 30 miles out, you might consider a gas/travel stipend to help defray they expenses.
