After much deliberation I decided to go with the Dominion Sweetness Package which come with 88 boots, rock twister wheels, nylon plates, abec-5 bearings. After ordering them I was thinking I should have maybe gone a step higher with the Dominion 719 Roller Bones package. Anyway - these were cheap and I do not skate that often. I have not used them at a rink yet but they seem to fit true to size and have the fleece tongue which was hard to confirm before ordering...... The wheels seem very grippy - I think I would prefer a smoother wheel and maybe a narrower wheel.

Ripped the laces from a cheap pair of Bauer Hockey Ice Skates, to add some contrast

My friends skates (left): 395 Redline, Reactor Pro, 97A Fluro Pink Wicked Scotts

My skates (right): 395, Pro line, 97A Fluro Pink Wicked Scotts

The crappy cell phone picture really doesn't do these wheels justice. In the picture they look like a bubblegum pink but they're much prettier in person, I promise.

My SEDS has been in remission for quite a while now, but every once in a while I browse back through this thread and start feeling that itch again...

Me too. My son has lost interest in skating so he never wants to go, and I recently some skates up for sale and was immediately interested in some black 195's. I had to tell myself - NO. This thread is a SEDS inducer, and where I first contracted the virus.

Skates I have now. More in the basement that don't fit.
Not skated in about 25yrs till last month. Needed the exercise, so got the kids roller blades. Made them learn on quads first.

My Pacer Formula II's
Omega plate. Don't know how they really compare, but they are light.
Had the dirty Interceptors on, but found myself hockey stopping. And that was removing the grooves. So got red SureGrip Power Plus.

Wife rolling my old high tops with new wheels.
Pretty positive they are Dominion boots, markings long gone. Plates are labeled Marathon and made in the USA. Need a hanger as 1 got cracked replacing the axles.
I found a way to swap axles without a press or pounding. Ill share later.

Bought the yellow wheels as Interceptors when I was young. Believe they are Primo Dinos.

Always wanted Riedell 265's
Just got these, like the old stripes better. But this what I found in my size.

Skates in the basement that don't fit? Anything you would be willing to part with?

Thanks Water, I just lost two hours of my life going back through this thread. Amazing collections and I haven't skated in over a year. Doesn't matter, it still makes me want to buy stuff.

I just saw that skated at Meadowood in CO. in the 80's I was a floor guard, DJ taught roller hockey and on my off time speed skate at Arapahoe. I miss that rink and was a sad Glenn closed it down. There doesn't seem to be a decent adult night around at least from I can see.
