You hear a lot of pessimism in skating forums about the death of skating, how it is generally going downhill (not literally, I hate going downhill on skates as I can't stop very well!)
To counter that I was really pleased to find out there will be a THIRD rink in the Glasgow area throughout the summer as the INTU centre at Braehead converts their curling rink into a skating rink for 2 months. https://intu.co.uk/braehead/events/rollerskating Along with Rollerstop https://rollerstop.co.uk/ and RocknRoller https://www.rocknroller.co.uk/that now means I have 3 rinks all within 15 miles/20 minutes of my house. What luxuries. Use 'em or lose 'em folks. Happy skating. |
