Ask DocSk8 (Expert Indoor Skate Building Advice) This forum is different then the other SkateLog forums in that it is not a discussion forum, but rather a place you can ask skate building expert Fred "DocSk8" Benjamin about building and repairing indoor speed, derby, and jamskate quad roller skates. Please start a new thread for each new question. |

Hello,
This might be a stupid question, but I am curious if there’s ever problems with holes in the soles when changing from one type of plate to another, especially in the heels? Can holes ever get too close to each other, resulting in the screw wobbling loosely in a much too big hole? So that the plate stays loose as well? If so, is that possible to fix? I am thinking of a boot with pvc soles right now (Moxy Lolly). Atm I have Pilot Eagles on them, might change them at some point though. Thank you for your time Maaja |

Lots of ways to approach this. It will depend on the plates of course. Filling the holes w/ a good epoxy, like JB weld or JB water weld is one approach. In come cases nothing is needed. Use the search feature in this forum and the general quad forum. That should get you pointed in the right direction.
