Is there a benefit to using Endomondo versus RunKeeper? Does the same heart rate monitor work for both? Is there a sizable benefit of one over the other?

I can't answer this; Endomondo is the only sports tracker I've ever used. All I know is that it's been a complete game changer for me. (Now that I can track mileage, mph, and all sorts of other stats - as well as connecting me with skaters from all over the world - it's helped me take my skating to the next level!!) I use the Zephyr heart rate monitor and it works pretty well.

Generally speaking they're both about the same. Runkeeper has more activity types, which is nice for me, and it looked like a little better web tools but I didn't dive into them too deeply. Endomondo has ghost racing though which is pretty sweet if you train a lone a lot. I talked to the people that that make Runkeeper about that and they said they're adding it at some point down the road. Things may have changed some since I was looking at Endomondo early June.

Ghost racing would be a neat feature. I have been using RunKeeper for a while, but Endomondo seems to provide more stats, like top speed.
I am going to give it a try, and if I like it, I will upgrade to the pro app for my iPhone, and possibly switch from RunKeeper. I will report back on the differences I notice.

Here's a link to my first Endomondo workout in YEARS lol. Been using others as GPS wasn't working like it should've been (it was hit and miss) last time I used it. It seemed spot on today (walk) so think I'll keep it and use for my skating as well, once I get them/get out and about. How do you find people on the app itself, is there a community on the web platform? Still learning how to use it and it doesn't look like such a thing exists on my phone.
