Default Where to skate: Florida's Space Coast

Hi all,

I'll be down on the space coast for the launch of STS-129. I think we're currently planning to stay near Melbourne. Currently scheduled for Nov 16, but those things never go on time, and often they'll decide to "try again tomarrow"

Any places in the area to get a fast skate in after they scrub for the day?

Thanks,

Not quite the space coast but still fairly close...

Orlando has several nice trails and an active club.

Check out the Central Florida Trail Bladers club You can probably ask their members for Space Coast trails.

Good luck on the launch. We went to watch a launch in June (July?) They scrubbed the launch each of the five days that we were there but the day after we left they finally launched.

I loved the West Orange Trail. A nicely paved, scenic trail with a reasonable amount of other users. A lot of little parks etc. if you want to take a break. Thirty miles round trip but there is another extension that I haven't skated. There is a lot of info on the web and the CFTB site about it.
