Someday you'll play a musical instrument again, though, I'm sure. :-)

Close, but no cigar. I don't play bluegrass banjo, I play old-time clawhammer banjo -totally different style. No pickin', no grinnin', no droolin' I'm afraid (unless I just came from the dentist). My husband is an excellent old-time fiddler, and we do gigs in our spare time. Truthfully, I can't listen to bluegrass banjo for more than 2 minutes without wanting to run away screaming. Sometimes when I really want to annoy my husband and musician friends, I'll play the first few chords of Duelin' Banjos. Then they threaten to kill me and I stop.

Roller skating content: There is a kid who frequents the rink I go to who looks exactly like that banjo kid in the photo. First time I saw him it gave me a real start, thinking of that movie. But although he's no rocket scientist (and neither are lots of other kids there), he seems like a nice kid, not obnoxious at all like some other kids.

Another funny tidbit about that movie- in the movie, the actor kid is holding an open-back old-time style banjo, and 'air playing' it clawhammer/frailing style. But then they had a musician dub the banjo music in and the musician is playing bluegrass style (up-picking rolls with brass picks) on a resonator type bluegrass banjo. You could never get anything like that sound from the banjo and playing style the kid is playing.

I don't want to totally hijack this thread, but since you asked....
I play mostly with fiddlers who play early American old-time fiddle tunes. It's an older music than bluegrass, by one or sometimes even two hundred years.
Here are some examples of "old-time" music:
