Default That Rap Beat and Adaptation

Hi Iggy,

Here's a good one too: Too Short / Blow the Whistle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBJtzEKetBM

Now Iggy I have wrote this before. I hate these songs if I am skating alone without someone to follow. Yet if I have a person, usually black, that can skate this stuff reasonably good for skates, the song skates well and I can follow their patterns. I do have to adapt a bit.

Yours in Skating, MA/NY Skating Dave

Not *new* by any stretch (apart from the odd remix), but I saw this Facebook page via JBGerman and it's been feeding me lots of classics since ... and despite having a lot of classic Soul and Funk already it's introducing me to some stuff I've not heard before

I gotcha. I don't like the constant "transformer noises". As some dub step songs go with. Same with some of the techno songs hitting that bass note constantly for a whole song. Bleh.

No matter what style of music its gotta have a break or rest once in a while, beats to drop in and out, ect.

This get's em going at Rollerworld. I'm glad the whole song isn't in the tempo at the end, I think you'd be scooping me off the floor and dropping me in an ambulance

Lol I'd not seen the video for the song until I just looked for the link...

I'll skate to pretty much anything (I'm a metal man at heart), the one thing I ain't too keen on is the hour of early 90's R'n'B they insist on playing at every sesh I go to :P (of course, what's one mans wheat...)

Digging C2C, that's the first I've heard of them. Reminds me of Daft Punk...

I can't see anyone (bar me) wanting to skate to this though...

Probably 'cause it was used for a Lucozade Sport ad in 2011 ... I like it, but it ain't so new. I'm compiling a requests CD of fresh movie to take with me to Derby Rollerworld, the DJ's music selection is quite stale

Worth a try, glad it's not just me that finds it a little repetitive...

i listen to so little new music now, even this is a couple years old, but it occurred to me this has the feel of a good riding the rails song.

Props for posting the C2C stuff. I've never heard of them before, and definitely dig their stuff

Default Skate Music Radio

Okay, so I've had this radio station up and running for about a year but there's no time to maintain it or update it.

http://www.live365.com/stations/member_11352590066

I had dreams of loading songs (which I did) that I got from many different skate DJs, scheduling DJ sessions (there is a posted schedule where you can add DJ recordings and have them automatically start), perform live on-air shows (it also has this capability), it has lots of storage space, load many different types of skate music for many different skating styles (never got past only a few ), up 24/7/365 (never off), will play several playlists in order or shuffle...had many dreams...didn't get most of them done.

I'm thinking of taking it down this month but wanted to encourage anyone else who is thinking of putting one of these together that it is EASY to do. You just have to have the time to devote to it.

And if you need help putting it together I can help sporadically. I've got over 1 terabyte of music so if you need something chances are I've got it and if I don't have it I can help you get it.

Default Fancy's tunes

Latest tracks that make me happy...

Slow shuffle - Blurred Lines (feat. T.I & Pharrell)
Fast skating - Smooth Criminal (Alien Ant Farm - Die Krupps remix)
Art skating - Radioactive (Imagine Dragons)
Funky footwork - Can't Hold Us (Macklemore)

Yes, I know I'm all over the board. Keep an open mind

this is nowhere near new, but finding the last one reminded me of how every once in a while jazzier things somehow ended up being played at the rink
