Certainly no broken bones or expansive discolorations! Got those out in the wilder days of motorcycle riding.

Behold my twice baked blister...two layers came off this day.

I have a beautiful orange sized bruise on my knee - and in the middle of that - a scab the size of new york. I was going to post a picture but after looking at these I feel like a real novice. I am going to have to work harder at acquiring "glory" and bragging rights.

I'll probably come off as a jerk for posting this, but so be it.

A number of these injuries could have been avoided by wearing proper safety gear.

Knee pads (skateboard style, not wrestling) and wrist guards at the very least. Elbow pads and helmets, even better. IMO, tailbone guards as well. Though I haven't gotten around to buying my rear end one of those. I really ought to, as I don't have much padding back there.

I take this kind of stuff rather serious because I heal very slowly. A scab you'd have from a light wound/scrape that might last a week or two will be on me for months. And I pretty much always scar from them.

I never thought I would post a picture of my bum on the internet!

But I never thought I would find a way to stop on a hill with my bum either!

AWWW I just had to look don't I just had to. Now I'm sitting here thinking... dum old man your 60 what in the H*** are you doing getting back on skates. After 10 years and 30.000 ml of bicycling all I ever had was a bit of road rash. I keep it up I'm not going to need pads I'm going to be in a room full..

Not that I can prove it other than getting my crowns removed, but my front two teeth were chipped by trying to see what the floor tasted like. Kinda hurt too!

Default My Gosh Looks/Sounds Bad

Geez Teacher from Slovakia,

Thanks for the XRays.

I can't believe, - - - well OK I can believe this injury.
Like my broken wrist this must have come as quite a surprise.

Derby doesn't have protection for this sort of injury. Maybe they should particularly for the Jammers.

Yours in Skating, MA/NY Skating Dave

Worst isnt the pain, not really an issue. Its eating everything from a blender for a weak will surgical wounds and Ti plates heal into place.... I am sooo much looking forward any solid food ......

Advise to all skaters: wear protection even if you look like I dork. This dork did and only came away with a minor injury...

Was chasing, and catching, cyclists Sunday morning until I stood up too fast at speed and lost it while slowing down.

I sympathize adrianm!! When I took a spill last July, that is exactly how dislocated my wrist looked, and that xray pic is the exact same repair that my right wrist got (the plate w/all the pins)!

If this post and the one above it don't convince you to wear wrist guards at the very least...!!

I broke a bone in my palm from freestyle slalom skating, practicing my back toe wheeling. Horay for my first broken bone

How do you guys take a photo of x-ray? Because it needs light, does scanning work?
Also the fracture is sort of minor compared to the ones in this forum... wow... :S

If it's not a digital x-ray...
Put the x-ray in front of a 100-150+ watt bulb and snap a photo

This is how I took pics of my xrays, when the doc showed them to me in the Dr's office on the light table, I just whipped out my phone and snapped a few shots.
