Default Anyone Upstate NY???

I know it's winter, but just wondering if anyone in the Kingston/Poughkeepsie area are doing any slalom or freestyle? Mainly skate on the Walkway Over the Hudson. If anyone's interested I'd like to learn more and/or help new skaters. Reach out, spring and summer are around the corner.

I suppose the 10 day forecast for Highland is about 10 degrees warmer than Buffalo - but I don't see the corner you are referring to...

Highland is Upstate? Must be right on the border.

I know a lot of NYC slalomers, but not sure about Upstate.

You should post this question the USFSA Facebook Group, as perhaps a local skater is a member of that group.

Listen here Buffalo, I may be living at the corner of "pleasantly delusional" and "really wanting spring," but cut me some slack. It really feels like the middle of nowhere out here.

How does everyone else handle the long winters? Any suggestions?

Indoors . I'll second the "really wanting spring" idea.

Default It's skating season now!

I'm still looking for other slalom skaters Poughkeepsie/Kingston area NY. Been setting up cones on the Highland side of the walkway over the Hudson around 7pm most nights. Anyone's welcome. I'll check that Facebook page too.
