Default One foot slalom

halo,
any body have good suggestion or tricks on how to perfect one foot slalom?

so far, i am doing it with assistance from one foot toe roll.

not yet fully on one foot.

any one?

one foot skating is largely about the foot thats in the air, using it to keep your weight centered.

keep your back straight, and arms out to keep your balance (think balance beam).

generating power comes from a combination of swinging the knee of your counter leg and transfering weight through the edges of your skate.

I had a similar problem, I'll tell you what helped me improve it, hope it will help you as well :

While at home try to stand on one foot while paying attention to something else, I've done this during my workout while having weight in my arms, during workout it helps since you need to maintain your balance...doing this 5-10 minutes everyday will help you out for sure.

And before trying to do slalom, try doing it without cones at start and with cones after you "master" it...I'd suggest trying at 120 cm (cone distance) first, at 100 cm (1m) second and at 80 cm when you're up for it.

we need to do somethings extra to help us gain a edge or improve our techqiue.
