Default Are any of you guys instructors?

I'm already loosing my mind, the area where I skate now closes at 5pm!!! So with a long winter in mind I've contacted several local schools with gyms to see if I could do some skating there. I've had one response, but I think they would like me to teach a class. I e-mailed two different instructor courses, SkateIA and ICP because if the only way I can skate through the winter is to start a club, then I'd like to know about liability insurance and I'm sure there's a lot more I don't know about. Do any of you guys skate in gyms in the winter, and how did you procure the gym? I'd definitely need some formal training to teach. Did you guys ever take a slalom course? Any advice is really appreciated.

Naomi Grigg runs a Slalom Instructor Certification course through SkateIA. You could try to contact her about this. There is talk about a _possible_ Slalom Instructor course in Miami, immediately following the Great Esskate in February. In case you're interested.

Just lost a post, but I'll try again...

I posted same question in main skating forum and got great feedback. Got in contact with Naomi. Turns out I'll be in Miami 2 weeks before the Great Eskate! AGGHHH!!! Mad! So mad!!!

Maybe I'll try a get rich quick scheme and a doctors' note (to get out of work) to hit Miami again. Naomi gave me a list of tricks, so now I'm learning everything on my week side and it's a lot of fun. Things are going great. I've got a game plan now and quite a few interested parties. Can't wait!!!

Wish me luck.
