Glad to hear they fit great on the Reactor... My kwik nitrides seem to rock a bit on the axels and I am in the market for new bearings. I saw these and the only thing holding me back was that they were black. However it seems like Jimmy just told me how to solve that problem

I have two sets of 8 ball and I have parked my fafnir's... I have skated them 3 times a week for close too 2 months... I have cleaned them once and they roll as good as they did right out of the pack... O and the wife stole my other set Some times I wish she had a smaller foot than mine... lol

Thanks Nathan for the 8 ball and the fast shipping!!!

Default Noisy

My Qube 8 balls were noisy out of the box. How about the rest of you? Guy at the skate shop said some are just that way until broken in. Are they lubricated at the factory? Mine are very smooth, and fast.

Sounds like a line. A bearing should be at its best when new, imho. Mine made no noise, and still do not.

Maybe mine were low on lube when I got them, but after a couple drops of Speed Cream in each one, they rolled noticably better than straight out of the box. I'm happy with mine, probably the best bang for the buck out there.

Just got the Qube Gold Swiss and I'm so-so on them so far. On first impression, my Bones Swiss rolled better but the Qubes aren't that far behind (and at least $25 cheaper). I might re-oil them since I didn't do that and see how they roll.

They are really good for the value but still second-fiddle to Bones Swiss, IMO.

Take them back or call Suregrip. They should not be noisy out of the box.

For now I've taken them out and put in a set of NMB which are whisper quiet, and roll, roll, roll.

Default I am with Nathan on that..

Send 'em back to Sure Grip. Explain what is wrong.

That being said, you cannot go wrong with NMBs.... I would be happy if those were all I could get... although the new ceramic Qubes are really shining right now...

A very good reason to save the empty box.

Throw 'em in a padded envelope and shoot 'em back.

If the Qube 8 were an expensive bearing bought at a local shop, I would return, or exchange for a new set. However, when all is said and done, the shipping costs aren't worth it. And since I was given a brand new set of NMB, from the Singapore factory - it's all good.

Default 1st time on 8-balls last saturday.

I have two sets of 8 ball and I have parked my fafnir's... I have skated them 3 times a week for close too 2 months... Yeah Kyle here reccommended the 8-balls, i got some and put in my cans & threw 'em on the 7mm laser flips i got of him.."Thanks Kyle".. DANG!!! i skated for 6 hours straight last saturday loved the 8 balls..

i like 'em better than reds and vxb abec 7's and can't really tell if bones swiss really is any better.. not yet anyway, they both roll smooth as silk to me and just as fast. i look forward to seeing how these roll after i clean and lube them with a few drops of my pro long concoction..

i use, 0w-20 royal purple w/ a mix of pro-long its seems to last longer than anthing else i tried. whats the lube you guys have had best luck with on the 8-balls.. seems like differnet bearings respond a little different to diff. lubes..
