+1 I just put a set in this past weekend and they roll great! Also they seem to fit the 8mm reactor axels better than bones. I put mine in clear shield out for the look

Anyone having issues with shields blowing out? I have heard of the Juices having these issues.

I have a set. I like the way they are made. But I have not rolled them for a long time so they seem a little slow. But keep at them.

I love these bearings. I put mine in clear shields out as well, and noticed one of them was missing the other day.....

I have been skating them for a while now. bearings got a little noisy after a while. I removed the shields cleaned and oiled them with speed cream. After oiling they dont spin as good as they did new. The oil did quiet them down. I have been running with out shields. I still like them better than my gold swiss.

Default Bones Swiss Comparison

Hi ALL,

Thanks, and Geez I got lucky and saw this tread. So First Note.

Once you clean these things like cleaning The Bones Swiss and then re-oiling how then do they compare?

How DO YOU know they are faster bearings?
I have skaters to skate against that are fast so that is my metric.
It is an imperfect metric yet works some of the times.

I was forced to clean and re-oil mine a few weeks ago. One of the clumsy kids I work with was pushing the mop bucket from out behind the skate counter onto the carpet and pushed it right over the bump not thinking about it and it went everywhere. When I say everywhere I mean everywhere. Just so happens I was walking by in my skates and it sloshed all over me and my skates. I was so mad but eh what can you do. I immediately took my bearings out and rinsed them and set them on a towel to dry. Then finished picking up the rink and went home. Cleaned them up and put some Uncle Charlie's in them and they roll just as good as they did when I got them.

Default The Bones Swiss Comparison

Hi Texas-Jam,

Wow a weird story that got your bearings wet. It Happens.

It is great to know that Uncle Charlies' or Bones Speed Cream Oil does just about as good as the original packing.

Yet what I am looking for is the comparison after a full cleaning and re-oiling between the two bearings. I can't tell from the posts which one is better.

I also can't tell from Derby people who skate the QUBE 8 bearings. They rave about them yet don't know if they did a full equal analysis. As you should know "the rave" or "the rage" is always the psychological master.

Yours in Skating, MA/NY Skating Dave
P.S. Did you ever name that jam move with the toes?

Default Quick Title Change

Hey Holiday Guy

You might want to think about going into Advanced Mode and changing the title of your starting post

QUBE 8-Ball Bearings

Only you or Kathy/Jessica (IF paying attention) will change it. Yet you are the first defense for our future.

I used my calibrated feeler.

I typically skate only fafnir 8ball. I've also (recently) skated the Qube ceramic, Swiss ceramic and NMBs. The Qube 8ball *seem* to require less effort to roll as long as the Fafnir. And I love the fafnir.

It is because your Qubes have oil in them

Default How are your Qubes doing?

9 weeks on Qube 8 balls. No maintenance done, yet, and still rolling like crazy. No apparent drop in performance. How are your Qubes doing??
