Smile Hey Nostalgic a video especially for you.

Here's the link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWp8...ature=youtu.be

It took about 4 hours to load up this video.

I'm lucky to load up long videos, but I have to do it very low resolution.

This video is of the 2016 USARS National featuring mainly FVSC Skaters.
There are others that caught my interest. I have probably watched this video 60 times in the process of making it.

Thanks, I haven't had the time or patience to sit down and watch it yet but I will within the next few days. I have been too stressed to watch videos that last more than a few minutes. No concentration at all.

Smile No Problem and take care.

The video has a little bit of everything and you can just scroll to different parts and just watch a different part that might interest you.

Take care!

I have looked at the first few minutes and I can't even identify the dances since they are ones that were added after my time.

Smile Yep, I know what you mean...lol!

It's funny as I was trying to decide what event I would skate in the New Era, I chose Veterans, for people over 55 years old. In the next couple years I could skate Golden and yes I didn't know one dance in the Veteran's Event.

I don't know why all these dances were invented, Bob invented some, but I think they wanted to add more Pizazz to roller skating.

Many dances are what they call "Weave" going back and forth across the baseline as you skate down the floor. And they always put some kind of extra lobe on the ends of the floor.

To make a long story short these dances are not that easy to do. So the old people cut the lobes short/shallow and the young people can skate these big deep lobes.

Personally I have found the Roll Line Dance Plate very helpful in getting these big deep lobes, but you still have to have the power and control to do it.

I found out just the other day, that I have to set these lobes in the first two beats of the music or you will fall off the edge and possibly fall down..lol!

Sincerely,

Larry O

P.S. I have uploaded two other videos, not mine, but a whole bunch of old 1972 Eastern Regionals Dance Videos that should bring back some memories: And a 1980 and 1990 Sr Nationals Dance video.
