Default Riedell to Edea (roller to ice)

I'm getting new ice skates. My favorite boot is my roller skate, it's a Riedell size 7 mens D width. I took out the insole and measured it. It's just shy of 270mm. Edea's come in millimeter sizing.

Have any of you switched from Edea's to Riedell and can compare the sizes? Thanks. Appreciate any suggestions.

Well, I don't ice skate but I have both boots and for me, the size 9 fits perfectly (Riedell = size 9, Edea = 290mm). What Edea will do is send the boot out to you for sizing. Or you can take a road trip to Indiana and get sized up or you could find a store in the area that sells Edea boots and try them on. I suggest Five Stride Skate Shop in Brooklyn if you could get out there. I was there yesterday.

I skated Brooklyn Skates yesterday! I've heard about 5 Stride but didn't know they had Edeas to try on. Next time I'll go down early and try that out! I'll probably call ahead and see if they have my size. I didn't even think about that. Thanks for the recommendation!

No problem. I have to get out there one day. I was looking at the boots they had while I was getting my setup and I saw the Rondo boot for sure. Yea, call them to set up a date for fitting. Nice selection and nice staff. Tell em Erick said hi and thanks for mounting my plates.
