Default Hudor Lite Figure Plates

Recently was outfitted with a set of Hudor Lite Figure plates on a new pair of Risport (something-or-other model that escapes me right now figure boots). Man, forgot what breaking in fugure boots was like...

Anyway, absolutely love the plates. Responsive when you want them to be, and will "toe" the line with hardly any effort. Skater's Oasis in FL was incredible to work with, unlike another company that blew me off at nationals this year...

I'm just wondering if there were any figure skaters out here that are using the new Hudor's? I believe it's a re-branding of the old Hudora line (but not sure on that).

I'd love to hear about any experiences/comments about these as well.

Smile New skates..I think they were a Dance plate.

there was a new plate i saw at Nationals..it was the butterfly..Kind of had the same truck configuration like a synder Imperial with a upright king pin..was a steel plate at only around 300 dollars...I think it was Skater's Oasis that was selling them.

Many top skaters have switched to the Hudor. The heaviness is supposed to be preferred. I have one adult who likes the hudor light after trying the roll line Giotto. Personally Ive decided to stick with roll line. Easier to maintain and keep parts in stock when all your other plates are also roll line. Also roll line are easier to mount IMO. Just drill and screw.

Yeah the Hudor brand has several plates. If they started sponsoring top kids theyd easily compete with roll line.

Im not a big fan of the plate profile on the boot or the click action. Too hard to adjust on the fly.

Smile this does not apply to this post but

I have gone to one skate to skate four different events..figures loops figures and dance..may not be the best for each individual event but it gets you buy easily..the setup:

Roll Line Dance plate, with the Natural Rubber Yellow cushiions..

any good brand of bearings..I think I'm on some old 8 ball, metal cages bearings..I know they must be at least 20 years old.

Berry "touch" Freestlye/Figure boot.

Bones 103A Wheels..

I have found I can do real loops with these skates..turn figures and Dances, solo dances, freestyle jumps and spins...Good luck with hudors or any skates people want to buy...just am tired of having 4 different skates for each discipline...In the old days 70's i skated on one plate and boot for dance and figures for 10 years on the same stuff..never wore out..Reidell Gold Star boots, custom fitted for each foot, Synder Imperial Plates..Fafnir steel bearing and Excalibur roller skate wheels..I think they were made by crest...could be wrong...lol!
