Just got the custom 395's back from Doc, he did a great job building the for me. Still having a bit of a break in period, nothing like my supple 20 year old skunks.
Both skates are rocking Scott's wicked lips.

This is a great old thread! What’s more fun than showing off your skates, right?

Here are my outdoor skates, AKA urban assault vehicles, shred sleds, roll masters, sole brothers. They are fast, durable, precise, fairly lightweight, and a heap-o-fun. Seriously, it makes me smile just to look at them. It must be love.

Boot Reidell 195 Grand Prix
Plate Sure-Grip Avanti Magnesium (painted flat black) with 10⁰ kingpins
Cushions Sure-Grip Super Cushions, Red 93a (hard)
Bearings Sure-Grip Qube 8-ball ceramic hybrid
Axel nuts Astro-Nuts nylon
Wheels Landyachtz Zombie Hawgs 76mm long board wheels, 86a, width narrowed to 32mm

About to give up on this set of wheels. Skates are 19 months old and I have over 2000 miles on them. I get just over 1000 miles per set of wheels but grind them down more than I should before replacing them.

Powerslide Hardcore EVO 2.0 from 2015. Wheels are Labeda Asphalt 85a, 80-76-76-80 for street skating, 76-80-80-76 for messing with the cones.

EDIT 3-12-2017: NEW WHEELS!

85A on the outsides (orange) and 78A on the inside (clear).

Just got back into skating after over 2 decades away. We have a group of friends that we go with regularly now. So the wife and I got skates. Not sure how they compare, but compared to rentals they were amazing. Used them for the first time tonight.

Looks GREAT to me!

I sometimes miss my quads. Have been on inlines exclusively since the early 90s. Seeing modern quad skates do make me want a pair somehow.

My go-to pair from the 90's. Bont (?) with Mogema Diamond frames.

My getting back into skating after 20+ years pair. Seba Highlights. One of cuff buckles kept loosening so i took the cuffs off for now.

My street and park set up. I do have other skates but these are my go to all day long so I just change the wheels over according to where I'm going

The old dogs (from when I skated 20 years ago), Reidell 595/Satellite/Fafnir/Wicked Lips

And the new hotness, Antik/Powerdyne Arius/Bones Swiss/old Wicked Lips

I got the Arius skates (used, off EBay) because they looked like they would hold up a 350 pound guy without breaking too quickly. I used to break axles on my Satellites when I was only 260#.

Default Mah skates!

Here's my skates for sessions at skate places:

Simple used Riedell 122 skates with leather toe guards.
I roll different wheels depending on the surface a place has; the
bright green Juice Appletinis are my choice for wood, the blue
Backspin Deluxe Lites are what I use on coated concrete places.
The set of Crazy Plays currently on the skates are my undecided
"go to" wheels and the green Belair Blazer old-school are if I feel like
going absolutely Spaceballs Ludicrous Speed.

These are my outdoor skates:

Just some Riedell Carrera outdoors with a quadline kit = 100mm narrow wheels on wide skate trucks.

Default small mishap with my outdoor skates...

It seems my pair of used Carrera's have seen too much use:

Bummer!

But then again:

it gave me an excuse to buy my first new pair of skates ever!
Sure-Grip Rebels, made in China but claim to actually be leather.
Same thing *could* happen to these eventually as they're skate boots
that don't have any stitching through the soles. I reused my axles
from the other skates but added some new 100mm Kryptonic 82a
wheels which I already had and just happened to be purple! Not that
they're ever going to touch the ground but I put some used Vanilla
purple jam plugs in 'em to plug the holes where I'd pulled the toe-stops
out ~ I cannot abide having toe-stops in any of my skates.
