Default Landed on the back of my head :(

Practicing some new tricks at winfield skate park, broken wheel caused me to land back on my head at the end ( you can hear my head crunch into the ground ) Doc said its just a minor concusion so i should be fine.

Everyone knows that helmets exist, he's been riding long enough that if he wanted one he'd own one.

damn dude, i sure hope it's not bad. all these injuries are making me feel depressed and yahh, he knows whether he wants a helmet or not and he can make the decision on his own. but i can't recommend it more. i know it's not cool, but neither is not being able to skate because you left you brains on a quarterpipe.
helmet = skate tomorrow. to quote foot. and there's nothing more true than that.

Those falls are the worst. You land on two feet like you're going to land it, but then you fly backwards and land on your ass, or your head. Haha. That has happened to me before. WITH a helmet, I hit the back of my head so hard my nose bled.

I know, I know.

Take it like it was intended. I make my kids wear helmets because I love them and care about their well being. I wear a helmet because I have a hell of a good brain, and as it is irreplaceable, I take measures to protect it. My brain earns me damn near 100k a year. And allows me to skate every day on my lunch. And allows me to ...... EVERYTHING.

I don't love ya dude, but I sure dig watchin you skate. I do care about you tho. I care about all of you. We're kind of a big disjointed family, or at least a collection of homies-- whatever, we ain't swappin spit in the shower or nothing. Just be careful gotdammit.

/gayness off

no, foot it never sounded like you were nagging. just giving out what you think is very good advice. which, of course, it is. yeah, i get you on the family bit foot. this is one of my most visited websites along with myspace and skatesetup.com because i simply love skating and keeping in touch with skaters alike. we give advice and support, which is what it's all about to be honest. i have absolutely no idea what i'd be doing right now without skating...probably getting drunk and stoned with all the other teenagers in my town. skating keeps me out of trouble, teaches me about various situations in life and keeps me fit. and it's all down to you lot for making me get stuck in.

i love this forum! it's like a second home to me! *tears welling up* lol.

Got a helm only problem is the park closest to my house is FULL of very aggressive skateboarders. Im gonna try to go over the weekend with the helmet and see how that goes. If the right groups of ppl are there i get yelled at as im just getting to the park carring my skates so i cant even imagine skating around with a helmet what kinda sh1t they will throw at me. The scene in my town is skateboarders and BMX only! no rollers at all and these guys try to pick fights with me any chance they get.

lol last time i got into a fight there i was still on my skates when the stupid kid threw a punch so he missed luckly and i nailed him with a knee then booted him in the teeth with my skates on. 5 mins later 10 kids where on me and one slashed my arm up with a knife and I got a 800 dollar fine for assault to a minor cuz they where all 15-16.

I would carry a firearm on my side in full view. I think either a 45 or 50 caliber would do it. Just be careful not to land on it. Might scuff up the finish. Also, no close range shots, you might get blood on you.

Actually the kid that cut me died 2 years ago when he stole a car and slammed it into a telephone pole while running from the cops.

Hi 3i5g

Nice job on the skating & vid!....not too good on the brainpan however.
I thought you were still recovering from Kamloops?
Looks like all the crazies gather in the Okanagan.

Seems there are some wood pushers and BMXers that'll always be a problem.
More than a few boards and bikes ended up in the creek next door to our fav park.
To avoid all that nastyness we'd arrive at the skatepark at dusk, brought a diesel generator and three 20 ft light poles. IT WAS NOW OUR PARK!
A few of the boarders and bikers were OK guys and we allowed them to stay on.
Anyone with other notions got a power failure just as they were dropping in.
You wouldn't believe how well that worked...splat...lol.

I'll take a wild guess that the knives came out while you were in Rutland?????
No Demolition - here you go to jail for packin a piece.
Sounds like you need more company there 3i5g.

Keep in 1 piece
CrazeeDave
