I have over the years built a lot of tools and stuff. It's about time I tried to make some money from making things, so wish me luck. I am having a search done on a tool I designed about 6 months ago and finally got around to assembling it. It works pretty well for what it is designed for and it is broad in application enough that it could be used in a lots of different areas.
Hopefully the search will not take long. Because I have 3 more tools following this one.

My thoughts exactly. I want the Mirage to be a powerhouse. Overkill would be a better term. I don't want just enough to outrun a factory ride or factory fast production cars. Turbos are nice but I'm now thinking Procharger.

those prochargers can snap the shaft where the h/ balancer normally goes. theyre just a crank driven turbine. i suppose if you havent the space behind the seats you can gilmer belt drive it. That might save the crank some in one way but load it in another way. yeah in a mid mount youde wanna avoid hair dryers as the heat would be crammed in, unless you ran long ram induction, thats not what id image youde want.too busy in the engine bay, Car jack a dodge demon and strip it for parts ![]() then all you need is a bellhousing adapter plate and bobs your uncle. just kidding about the car jacking. |

My fav engine long ago was a 427, Pro High-Ram, twin Predator carbs and a Unilite. Simple stuff. 2385p Sealed Power pistons, balanced rods with good bolts and steel crank. Comp cams 292 hydraulic with Sealed Power IIRC fast bleed lifters for vacuum. Set into my Datsun 280z with a powerglide.

Closer to 25 years. It was a fun car. I had the same motor in an old chevy pickup. Gearing was wrong for the motor but it would fly down the highway. Simple motors that worked well. Torque was about as good as normal for a BBC at lower rpms and it just kept revving if you stayed in it. I zinged it plenty of times to 7500.

I was using mud and snow tires but the gearing was like 270 or so. The 2400 stall got it moving anyway. It never got traction if you stood on it. I pulled a 24 ft travel trailer and I could easily smoke the tires with all the tongue weight. Finally lost a lobe on the cam and took the motor apart later. Lots of fun though.

Just finished signing docs to get provisional. Now 12 months to tune and revise. Can produce now as much as possible before then. I bought 6 new production machines in the last few weeks to set up and get it on. Some patterns and guides to make and just a few more machines to get, then production machines will be dedicated for each piece. Each machine does only one set of operations. No tear down and setup time. I have been saving machines and tooling for years and now get to use it all at once. Going to be fun!
KA CHOW! LOL

Papers are filed, and receipts in hand, time to fire up the machines and make product. Make a better living. A few more tool to buy and set up. Got a few days of setup time and then it's on. So ya'll take care, see ya'll when time permits.

Been building patterns and tools for the shop in the last couple of weeks. Just started selling product. Things are already getting crazy. Gonna be fun holding down 2 full time jobs.
