Up to 171.8 this morning from around 167 before Thanksgiving. I hope part of this is due to the amount of weight lifting I have been doing since early November.

With my diet being reasonably consistent, I have been staying right around 169-170, however, I am very far from my goal weight of 160, so I am wearing the fat hat with F2B.

Mine literally exploded to 224.
![]() I got it back down to 218 today. Back to the one meal/one beer a day regimine. Afterall, spring is just around the corner. Can't be out sporting this beer gut all over the place afterall..... Weather breaks on wednesday and I'll be back to the bowls. Should come off nicely then. It's amazing how fast I can gain weight. I work out every day and eat nothing but Whole Foods goodness. Zero fast food, nada. Damn beer.....

Weighed in this morning at 167.6. Not bad considering the diet has been a bit hit or miss lately. Been working out a lot though. Still a long way from the goal weight. It just doesn't come off as fast as it used to. To be fair, when I started this trip into speed skating, I was pushing 190, so I am doing pretty well, overall. That was down from when I finished grad school at 215 in 2006. For reference, I am 5'9" with a medium build. Doc says I should be around 155, but with my tree trunk legs, I don't ever see that happening.

I had a caliper body fat test at 210 and it was a 10% BF
I like to be around 203 (for the stupid fact that my favorite MMA fighter Randy Coutour is also 6'1" like me and fights at 203lbs. LOL) When I'm at that weight it puts me at about 8%, according to the nice health director at the YMCA. He says the 7 pinch caliper test is within a 10th of a percent of an immersion test. After the 1500calorie blow out today, and the very light sushi lunch, I should be another pound or two lighter. When I stick to my program, the weight comes off FAST! Think I'll have a celebratory loaf of liquid bread tonite! Cheers!

for real this time I'm going to get back on the wagon.
My 104 oz daily diet coke habit, hopefully, is behind me. I will now start over again at 232lbs. The only thing I can boast about is that I may be the heaviest skater still in a pro division. ![]() Lots of green tea for me. |

While you don't intake calories from the diet soda ... what it does is increase your overall desire for sweets and larger meals because its so much sweeter than normal sugared drinks. Its a double edged sword for sure.
Best just to drink water . Green tea is good too. Its got such a light taste very little if any sweetener is needed in it and its good for you.I'm still sitting at 189-190. |

I last posted in at 155, I have gone up some. Been hanging in at 157 to 161.
Would like to be back at 155 or less for the next meet but don't think I'll make it in a week and a half. |
