Default has anyone skated Grand Canyon?

The Grand Canyon is just a hop skip and a jump away from me. Has anyone skated the rim trail? The Grand Canyon website states that it is wheelchair accessable and bicycles are allowed.

I guess no one has but if you do let us know!

I did walk a short touristy section but I have no idea if it is the same trail.
It was old, rough, crowded and not good for skates. But again it may not be the same trail and it was 6 yrs ago.

On second review it appears that most of rim trail is off limits to everyone but hikers. Only road itself and the 1.7 mile segement of rim trail called the greenway gap is open to bikes.

I used to work there. I wanted to try it at the south rim but there are a lot of people and animals(elk, deer, squirrels) to contend with. They are always adding paved path projects. The path by the rim was recently repaved and smooth.
