283mm venus plates? That sounded weird so I searched and couldn't find that length anywhere.

As for setups,
I use long plates myself. The longest I have done is 193mm on a 283mm foot 100mm less than the total length of a person's foot is about all I'd suggest max. Obviously as a foot gets much smaller that may decrease to say 90mm.? Not sure if Doc ever looked at it that way or not. Then again feet can differ ALOT, so there is no set plate size/wheelbase per shoe size

If you use long plates it can make turning harder without getting into heavy suspension modifications.
