Hi Darthblader. I never had a pair of rollerblade twisters (or pros), but I have had Rollerblades and Sebas.
I can imagine that Seba's would definitely last longer (given the material...aluminum vs plastic). As for responsiveness...I'm going to venture that, yes, aluminum would be just a bit more responsive. Mostly though, I think it may be the hard shell of the boot that makes a slalom skate more responsive.
I still think that the skater is the most important part of the equation.
I can say with 100% certainty that my Seba's have outlasted any other skate I have ever owned. I skate 24/7. If you're thinking about investing, go with the best. Rollerblades are great, Sebas and Powerslide are better for slalom.
