My rink, side by side outdoor basketball courts is 40 grit sandpaper, it's sand painted onto cement, falling isn't an option.
Problem is the land was never really filled properly, the cracks that appear with warm and cold weather shifts keep getting bigger and deeper, usually a crew shows up and does an excellent patch job, this spring somebody went the cheap route, they hired somebody to spray what must be heated nylon on the cracks and roll it smooth, well, if they were to sand it and paint it it might work, but now it's a 1/4" bump of material my 82a wheels can't grip, it's gotta be some kind of hard, so if I touch it as I'm pushing I slide like it's ice and I'm in leather loafers, but it's free
