Default wheels advice

Hi. I'm an intermediate skater just about ready to learn some slides, beginning with the powerslide. No matter what angle I put my skate at I can't get the wheels to slide, even when stationary, and I've been reading on a number of different sites that my wheels - Seba Street Invaders (80mm, 85A) - are renowned for being extremely grippy to the core and very hard to slide with. Does anyone have any advice about what 80mm wheels I should get to make slides that bit more achievable with practise, without compromising too much on the round-town comfortable ride? I'm doing a 'stops' course in London in a couple of weeks and don't want to waste the opportunity by having unsuitable wheels when I go. BIG THANKS!
