I advise those who grease their cushions to rethink the matter, especially with the shallower kingpin plates like the DA45 family.

The reason is that as the plate leans, it also twists. On some plates the twisting of trucks around the KP is nearly as much as the lean. When you lube the cushions, the cushion stack items can spin on the KP, and this can eliminate the useful TORSIONAL (twisting) REBOUND that is available when the the cushion urethane sticks to the suspension stack components with more friction.
